SEC Fans

The sec fans are the biggest collective of shirttail riders I have ever seen. Its really pretty sad but not surprising.

You think that, but I'm telling you that I've listened in on plenty of Big 12 bashing and conversations about how Texas has destroyed the conference, how Big 12 fans are all elitist assholes and how the schedules are laughable. When in Portland or NY, it's not the SEC my friends make fun of. You won't see me heckling anybody about it though.
SEC fans are cocky and it's fun to knock them off their high-horse, but let's be fair when passing judgment, there's plenty of criticism to go around.
The SEC are the last folks that need to be complaining about weak schedules.

Right! That is a pot and a kettle and the color black for sure!

Think it was the '11 MNC bama team that beat 3 teams all year with above .500 record. Pretty impressive.

The SEC non conference schedual as a whole is pretty pathetic and stoops is semi right in the fact that the bottom 8 teams in the sec this year didnt do shit

No conference can boast amazing teams top to bottom, but to say the SEC conference schedule as a whole is pretty pathetic? That's bullshit. And if you paid attention to what I said, it's not just SEC fans who trash the Big 12. It's PAC 12 and ACC fans, people who see the talent in Texas high schools and watch kids race off to the SEC because (insert a bunch of reasons). Stoops said what he did because they're desperate to get a handle on recruiting. We can argue all day about who has the tougher schedule, who has more tier two teams beating tier one teams, but at the end of the day...

I just deleted a bunch of stuff because it was inflammatory and provocative. My point was that not all SEC fans are pure conference loyalists, some of us have a lot of respect for teams outside of the SEC, and for every Big 12 fan with an SEC criticism, I can find two Pac 12 or ACC fans with a Big 12 criticism. You can make fun of SEC conference loyalists all you like, but in doing so, it will almost always evolve into a conversation where people are defending their own conferences. As a well-traveled and worldly kind of girl who posts on a Texas Longhorn message board with an LSU Tiger avatar picturing a sign made while living in College Station, I promise you SEC fans don't have a monopoly on arrogance in the 'my football identity' department.

Agreed. That honor belongs to A&M alone!
