We will also, get to see how the MLB ABS system goes in the tournament. More on this later.

So, let's go over the ABS system from MLB and how the SEC conference tournament is going to use it. I don't know if they want to use it next season.

The home plate ump will call balls(s) and strike(s) on his terms. The ump zone can be only challenged by batters, catchers, and pitchers. No coaches, other players, or other personnel can challenge ball/strikes.

The batters, catchers, and pitchers have up to 2 seconds to challenge the ball/strike call.

To challenge on a check swing. First, if the ump says he swung or checks and the ump says it was a swing. No challenge available.

The ABS system is 19" wide which puts about 1" over each side of the home plate. The height is 58% of the batter's upper body standing height and 23% batter's lower body standing height.

If the hornsports staff wants to post the image it's on SEC baseball tournament website.

No framing of pitches will change the ABS system call of ball/strike.

The measurements are from the ave SEC players numbers. Changing height won't matter.

If a ball dropped it reversed to a strike the batter is automatically out.

It extra innings then 1 added challenge available.
