The floor for me is 10-2. 11=1 for the ceiling.
Ohio State is a coin flip for me. But we have seen Texas go into hostile environments and walk away victorious.
Florida's two starting WR's went down this week.
The RRR can take some strange and unexpected turns.
UGa is the only game that Texas isn't favored.

I say 10-2,I think we are ready for OSU & Georgia. Our losses will be at Swamp as Gators will have momentum and Sam Houston.😉

I'm at 11-1 or 10-2 as well. We have a brutal schedule. Georgia. Ohio State. Florida will be tough. I expect a game from OU this year. Could go a lot of ways for us.

I'm looking at 9-3. Tough schedule but we are a good team. I'm hoping Arch makes it through the whole season but I have a feeling he's got a gi-normous bullseye on his back (or helmet). I'm factoring him missing a couple of games. That plus our O-line gives me a little concern due to their inexperience playing together. We will make the playoffs and if we are healthy, I don't see anyone really stopping us.

Im in this boat too. 9-3

A shaky OL, plus its like the entire world seems to have had a brain aneurysm in forgetting that 1st year QBs will have growing pains. Im marking Oh St and UGA as losses, plus 1-2 more we let slip away that we should've won.

Both teams you expect us to lose to are replacing QBs. Ohio State is replacing both coordinators as well.

Both teams I mentioned are also stellar at home:
UGA: 22-0 at home since 2020
OSU: 22-2
Plus, the QB for UGA did already beat us in the SECCCG.

I mean, I think both will be a battle, but I lean toward us taking the Ls on the road.

Remember how good Bama was at but we beat them soundly. It is those teams that they overlook.

Arch is not just any first year starter. This dude is just different. His grandfather, two uncles and father have groomed him well.

Until Sark proves it, I will always mark UGA as a loss. Smart seems to know what
Sark is doing. I think we lose to Florida too. If we played them at home, I’d say they would be close wins.

We get our revenge on Georgia in the SEC championship game and Sark finally beats Smart.

A 2-loss Texas makes it to the playoffs as a top 4 seed. That’s as far as my eyes can see.

The team has potential to be amazing and beat everyone.

Georgia will have a brand new, green QB who wasn't good enough to unseat the rather unimpressive QB they had last year. Our defense will eat him alive IMO.

He caught us by surprise last year, we were prepared for a very different QB play style and Stockton was a very effective change of pace. He barely did enough to pull off the win for Georgia. I think with a gameplan to shut him down, he struggles to find much success this time around.

Texas should be better. Here's why:

Quinn Ewers, in first preseason game, first five passes fell incomplete before he found running back Alexander Mattison on a checkdown. Sound familiar? He was also strip-sacked at the Dolphins' 5-yard line on his second drive of the game. He had the opportunity to lead the Dolphins on a game-winning drive but was strip-sacked again. He finished 5-of-19 passing for 91 yards and two lost strip fumbles. Strip fumbles and check downs...sound familiar? Given this is a professional preseason game, the DNA and check downs and strip fumbles are evident.

Even with basically a new offensive line, DTs and WRs, Texas will be better. A rising tide lifts all boats. Here's hoping that Arch is not just a rising tide, but a tsunami.

QE3 is snake bit, He won't be on an NFL roster when the rosters are finalized.

In all fairness, I think it was deplorable that he was labeled a generational talent. He was a good player, but not generational. That label was extremely unfair to him to live up to that claim.

With those thoughts, that is one of the reasons I do not subscribe to a particular paid site. The other reason was the editor of that site pushed the Tom Herman fiasco. I vividly remember the main article with followups pushing that narrative. I won't name the site, but it wasn't OB. Thank goodness for Hornsports!

Texas had more throws for less than fives than any other team in the NCAA D1.

Yes Texas will be better this year in a lot of areas but the record depends upon how the OL & WR’s perform. For me, the eternal optimist, I choose to believe they will both come through and with Arch’s attitude and moxie that will be enough. 12-0 and a natty or bust!
