I'm sick and tired of the drama, the sniping, the comments and all the negativity. I worked on some business with SirHornsalot this afternoon and had a great thing talking all things Texas and Horns Sports. Just had dinner and am about to relax with some margaritas. Its time for a non-football Saturday night thread. Feel free to offer comments or

youtube urls

or whatever the hell (non-football) you wish to offer. Or, don't. Hook 'Em!

A repeat here but i think some missed it last night.

The same Bad Bama Fanny, but this time set to "Wrecking Ball"

Outstanding

Run your sprinkler systems this evening or by morning. You will want your landscape to be wet when the extreme cold temps hit late Sunday.

Make sure your sprinkler system is turned off once you're done, unless you have a freeze sensor on the system.

If you have something delicate in the landscape and live in the DFW area, you might consider covering it with a freeze cloth. Do not use plastic, period.

Supposedly, this is the coldest it's been in a long time, though I do remember it getting down to 0 here about two years ago. They're calling this a "polar vortex."

Had a blast with you today Randolph Duke. You da man. Really look forward to reading more of your stuff in the coming days.

Back at you. It was nice to have a break from the program drama and have a fun conversation. Just had to start this thread. We had a Saturday night (late) throw down a couple of weeks ago that was a lot of fun. I'm really tired of the program drama and am ready to start having some off-season fun with Horn Sports. As you can bet, I will do my part to make it happen. Like I told you, we have some fun things in the works. Steve Patterson can start earning is $1.5 mil. As for me, I'm going to try to stay warm, watch the MNC game on Monday and just let next season's problems solve themselves.

We're out at the ranch, having BBQ, riding the four wheeler, shooting guns, exploring the cave, watching football, burning shit... You know, ranch stuff. Good times.

Two of my favorite people on HS - The Duke and SHA.

Thins thread is nothing short of beautiful

SHA, when you say "make sure your sprinkler system is turned off" what exactly does that mean. Turn off the water to the sprinkler system? Haven't even looked at mine yet (newly moved in) but I assume there's a supply valve there at the unit on the side of the house? After I turn off the water, do I need to drain anything on the unit?

I would have done business with you 2 guys if I would have known that either one of you would have bought dinner & margaritas. :P

What I'm suggesting is that you turn the system off at the Control Panel, usually located in your garage.

Your lines are supposed to be a 6" depth, so they won't freeze. Ditto for the master valve.

Over the course of time, I've seen too many systems left in the "auto" position that come on and create catastrophe during freezing temps. That can be very bad. A freeze sensor will prevent this, but many systems still do not have them.
