Not really. Saban is not meeting with Patterson unless he is being offered. Maybe Saban verbally agreed to come to Austin tomorrow. That would indicate it is done.

It has been reported by McPhaul Saban had an offer on his desk. If it was Strong it would seem he has had an offer extended to him. Seems quick. If Saban turned down today, Then a deal would already had to have been pitched to Strong already. Its possible I guess.

I would think that it has to do with the size of the contract and any buy out that has to be paid.
