Deb and I are staying at Winter Island in Salem Ma. I get up every morning and have my coffee and look at the Atlantic Ocean. To bad y'all can't be here but somebody has to work, We will leave here the 11 of June and head to Maine then up to Nova Scotia Canada. But I will be home September 1 for my grandson football and of course my Longhorns. Alex plays guard is now 6'1 weight 275 bench 325, squat 455, vertical leap 24.5. Alex just turned 17 Deb and I are really looking forward to seeing him play . Spring game video

My friends y'all have a great week

Enjoy

The best meteor shower I ever saw was in Maine

Will never forget it

I spent a summer in Maine when I was 16 and was the perfect summer weather that I have been in. Have a good time JimsTexas

Nothing is more awesome than Indian Summer fall, in the northeast, when the maples are turning.  Too bad you will miss it as it generally starts in October.

have BIG FUN!  stay safe.

Hope things go smoothly for you, Jim.  I've made multiple trips similar to yours and always enjoyed the Northeast.

Enjoy the trip, Jim. I'm staying in New Braunfels this evening, gotta do some work in San Antonio tomorrow. It's been really nice outside, was eating by the river earlier. Great night.

Jim, I don't think you play Golf, do you?

I love Salem CC. Great old Donald Ross design.

Years ago when I played it , I really fell in love with the clubhouse. A structure older than our country. In the entry way of the clubhouse there's a little desk encased in glass. It so small I assumed it was some famous children's desk from a local school. When I looked closer at the plaque attached I read, to my dismay, that it was the judges desk used in the Salem Witch Trials. Really spooked me. Made sense when I thought about it, people were much smaller back then. Still, that image stayed with me the entire round.
