Charlie Strong wants to run the ball. Our first inclination of that was his targeting of Joe Wickline, College Football's No. 1 o-line impresario. I pinch myself sometimes as I remember Wickline is actually coaching offensive linemen in Austin. That's the sign of not only a good hire but also a directive. Run the ball.

Thanks for the link. I'm comfortable with the philosophy, and expect a huge season from Malcolm Brown. Depth is a concern. Having Bergeron back and fully bought in will be big. I just don't think Gray will be ready this year.

I am not a fan of 6'2" RBs typically. Warren is obviously very good, but I hope we also keep pushing for a guy like a Brossette or Guice.

6' 2" is taller than most, but there have been great tall RB's (> 6' 0"); Adrian Peterson, Marcus Allen, Eric Dickerson - to name a few.

It looks to me like Strong wants backs with short-shuttle quickness and vision.
