2 dumbest statements I heard last night after all the games.
1. Bama is not the same team that lost to Texas in week 2. As if we are the same team.
2. Milroe has played his way into a seat in NY and Heisman consideration. Did no one see or remember how poorly he played against Auburn? A miracle play doesn’t erase that.

If the committee picks FSU, over Alabama, then it's clear that the pick is rules based, not based on picking the best teams.

The obvious problem with that is schools are going to be very reluctant to schedule challenging out of conference games in the future. It will also make it more challenging to get the 16 teams in the SEC to agree to move to a 9 game conference schedule.

It will be interesting to see how all this works out in the future with the expansion of the playoffs, SEC and B1G.

My thoughts exactly. Committee needs take all of 5 minutes to declare the four teams for the CFP.

If money and politics get involved (shocking!), then FSU gets replaced by Alabama.
When do politics not get involved? Not saying it's right, but I think Bama jumps fsu.
Either way, I think we're in and another fan base is going to be pissed off.

I actually think the opposite. With the playoff coming, you have 2 roads to the get there. Win your conference or have an impressive resume. Teams will need marquee games to show how good they are.

Currently the CFP committee is combining those factors and yes politics are involved. It's not the best, but its what we have right now.

I like our approach of playing tough non conference games. Good for the fans, good for the game.

I watched the games yesterday. If FSU was trying to make a case, they failed. That was a miserable game. They aren’t a top 4 team. If the CFP is supposed to pick the best four teams FSU isn’t one of them.

Playing in the SEC implies more marquee games. Expanding to a 9 game conference schedule gives you even more high value gagame. Scheduling difficult OOC games is more of the same.

I completely agree that this is good for the fans and the game. The problem is that it's a hard sell , particularly for the non blue blood teams in the major conferences. I hope the committee figures out how to promote more challenging schedules, which requires them to de emphasize loses, which they seem reluctant to do.

I agree. Did y'all hear Urban Meyer yesterday? He stated that if he was a coach and Bama jumps Texas, he would walk into his AD's office and tell him to reschedule the tough non conference games to games they would win. He stated if they're not going to consider those games, why play them?

On one of the college football wrap up show they showed a statistic that is scary as all hell

It said that the #1 team before the final weekend has never failed to make the final 4, which to me says Georgia only drops to #4, Alabama #3 and both Texas and FSU get the royal screw job

I know that sounds absurd but you never know what is in their mind

This is the whole point. No matter what the playoff system that has been in place, it has always been about the blue bloods.

The bowl system, bcs and the current playoff have all been with the blue bloods in mind and how to get more of them involved.

I saw too. Part of the problem is that so many are saying g things like, “Ga is the two time defending champ” as justification for pitting them in. That basically means how they have looked throughout this season doesn’t matter. They get a pass for any difficult games or ugly performances. The system is wrought with double standards. Always has been. Sounds a lot like all the 2008 crap all over again.

Nah!

Texas has so many advantages here.

Texas demolished the last 2 teams and did it with Heisman type style with QE breaking records.
Texas actually has a QB and Offense that can produce more than 10 points per game. FSU could barely beat Florida with their second team QB
Texas is conference champion.
Texas strength of schedule
Texas owns the head to head vs Alabama
Texas is a huge draw ratings wise.

I only wish Sark had a more compelling post game speech on why we should be in. It honestly seemed kind of Beta'ish. "We can play anyone"? It should been "We have one of the best wins this year and can beat anyone in the country" Just my take. Fight for it Sark!

if I am on the committee I leave out FSU. FSU looks a team Baylor can beat the last 2 games and Louisville has the worst QB I have ever seen. That was awful. it just reeks of the ACC is weak.

I heard that same sentiment too, its a cross between entitlement and one of the reasons will bully their way in, I think both OU and Texas saw that they could either keep fighting the system or become part of it, if Texas was part of the SEC this year there would be no question as to them being in it

Yea I enjoyed trophy presentation! The whole time I was thinking eat sh!t Yormack. The crowd booing was quite pleasing
what made me mad, real mad was he completely butchered Coach Sarkisian's name, that just an insult, it like what the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave does
