Nice and warm in the press box but I'll be making my way down to the field in the second half.  Free sonic in the press box so I got that going for me...

Newman Smith starts with a 1st and 20 after the kick off after 2 false starts on the 2 first plays.

Heath plays a base 3 deep with Elliott in centerfield for deep coverage.  Smith's offense consists of Jet sweep read options so Elliott hasn't gotten involved much so far.  Heath has recently switched to a base 2 deep with Elliott playing in the box.

As I type that Elliott lines up in the slot and breaks up a bubble screen attempt on 4th down that was an eyelash away from being a pick 6.

Heath takes over on downs and a handoff goes 67 yards on the next play as Heath takes a 14-0 lead.  This game isn't going to be pretty.

Following an interception Heath completes a 37 yard touchdown on the ensuing possession.  21-0

Rockwall Heath doing whatever they want here.  Just punched it in from 1 yard out for a 28-0 lead.

I thought for sure Elliott would stick at safety in college but seeing him up close he has the lower half of a linebacker.

A punt pins Heath at the 3 yard line.  We are going to get a chance to see if they can truly do what they want today.

HEath had to punt and then forces a fumble.  Elliott looks a bit banged up after taking a knock on his shin from a blocker.  He limped off the field and trainers are looking at him right now.  Look like maybe a bone bruise.

Keep us updated with his injury, Mike!

Following the kickoff Smith fumbles on their first play and it's returned 26 yards for a touchdown.  With 2:39 remaining in the half, Heath is up 41-0

Elliott goes head hunting and lays a lick on the ball carrier but didn't wrap up and Smith gets their first 1st down.  I have a feeling that will have to be coached out of him.

Elliott comes downhill on an option and gets his hand in the pitch lane to force a fumble.  Heath scores on the next play to go up 48-0.  Chatter in the booth includes the possibility of a running clock in the second half.  Going down on the field for the second half.

We'll see if it comes true but based on comments from the clock operator I think we are going to have a running clock in the 2nd half.
