Ok I for one can't stand Sherman he good but I hate him u don't see elite guys at their position doing this I get it its a emotional time getting to the Super Bowl but do u see earl thomas doing bs like this I wish he would learn how to be classy from the best safety in the league

I don't buy the "emotional moment" thing. We've been playing NFL football for decades and that's the first time I can remember the NFL having a WWF moment.

If you're that damned good, you don't have to scream it at anyone.

Yep. Frankly, I think he was juiced on something.

"They are who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook" while yelling at the press conference

"He's my quarterback" while shedding some "tears" behind some sun glasses

*Running to the star on multiple occasions even when it's 50 yards away

It was just a 3rd year player reaching the pinnacle of his profession by making the biggest play of his career yet. He is outspoken and passionate. If you get Earl saying this, why is it hard for some of you to accept it?

I'm not sure why it's hard for people to accept. We've seen all kinds of rants by coaches and players during press conferences, yet Sherman is a bad guy for doing it RIGHT after the game is over when emotions are still running high.

meh, I think people are making a much bigger deal than it really is.

Honestly no worse than we have heard from many others that were good/great players that happened to be emotional and enjoy the attention. Hell half of "Prime Time's" were scripted.

Yes, I do prefer the consummate Pros who act like they been there before, but everyone has a different personality. In the end the NFL is as much about entertainment as anything.

Sherman made a great point during his PC yesterday. The Flames and Canucks got in a team wide brawl (including coaches) last Saturday right after the puck dropped to start the game. They didn't even attempt to play, just starting brawling. Where's the coverage on that? Where are the "thug" labels?

He made the play of his life on a receiver and a team they have a history with to send them to the Super Bowl. Give the guy a break!

this Sherman crap is one of the most overblown things I've ever seen. I had no issue with what he said. None. If you are going to interview someone seconds after making a huge play and their team is headed to the freaking super bowl you should expect some emotion. People calling him a thug and trash over it are being just silly IMO. He's neither of those things. Hell he didnt even use profanity. The whole issue is MASSIVELY overblown
