34-9...Team just got better and better as the game wore on..Shipley and Brown are the real deals..Gilbert came back and played well..

Agreed on all counts. Plus, Malcolm Brown is a horse. The 34-9 win was a good one but they better get ready for BYU. Texas takes this season seriously and they can start 4-0 before taking on OU in Dallas!

Texas struggled tonight and needs to pick up the pieces before the BYU matchup next weekend. Gilbert needs to learn how to throw the short passes. Looked great on the deep routes though. Mormons won't be so generous.

I dunno. I am liking the Wildcat, or "Wildhorn" wrinkle they threw in tonight for no other reason than it is different. Different is what Texas needs to overcome the stigma of last year's season. TEXAS WINS!!!!!!!

My grade on the game last night: Texas gets a B-.

Gilbert needs help on the short passing game, Malcolm Brown should be the starting running back and Jordan Shipley is a STUD - like his brother was at Texas. Mack has burned the David Ash redshirt so they better use him a ton this season. I would like to see him throw the ball instead of only being part of trick plays. The defense had noi sacks against a crappy Rice team which is a problem.

I am a Miller guy myself! You cannot be a Dallas fan and drink anything else. Dear Lord that chick in the Colonel's post is AMAZING. Looking forward to the BYU game this weekend. Texas wins this game then they can keep building momentum to the OU game. Brick by Brick as Mack says.
