i've lost count! about how many times upon many of my prior threads regarding today's recruits... that i have duly stated just how impressionable, gullible, vulnerable, highly prone to glamour, manipulative, intimidating, highly prone to sensationalism that have by all accounts, become today's prospective football recruits.
have you somehow forgotten yourselves gentlemen? I SHALL NOT PATRONIZE YOU... but you are texas. and many of you are without a doubt some of the most pro efficient / seasoned football minded individuals around. NOW STOP THE SILLY ARGUING AMONGST YOURSELVES for when all is said and done... we really do not have an ounce of control of this recruitment situation. heck, in a stark reality, no one does. (not even the coaches themselves) for, the only thing that our coaches may be able to do at this moment... is their jobs. and that is to present to any prospective recruit... the open opportunity as per their overall athletic ability... to gain a scholarship, attend the university of texas, and play football. period.
MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE: we are living in the golden age of information. the likes that most of us have never ever known before. well, don't you think that our prospective recruits are aware of this fact. today's recruits, are hereby so very info seasoned... that many of them have learned just how easy it has become for them upon an individual basis, to become famous just by their recruitment stances. heck, just the other day, we had one recruit make a statement that "he would be open to offering a commitment to a particular university... upon the promise that the coaching staffers hereby made offers as per a couple of his chosen buddies..." talk about manipulative. now is this form of behavior worth our members fighting over... i dare say not.
there is a particular reason that i am so very proud of coach strong. (this man get's it) he ventured forth upon the 40 acres with his very own initiative as per how he wanted to run his program as per the very beginning. you see members... what many of you are hereby failing to realize, is that coach strong is carefully as well as skillfully weeding out the (pilsbury dough boys). you know, the kind of recruits that have become somewhat synonymous, as per the texas football program, within the last few seasons. (the big mentally soft recruits) that very often look the part... but are nonetheless non worthy, of a major football program such as texas.
therefore, i say let's wait until national signing day NSD. let's just wait to see the official last minute moves that many of these young impressionable recruits shall lay upon the landscape. many of them shall be happy. many won't be so happy. but coach charlie strong shall be just fine... because, when all is hereby said and done... the last "i" has been dotted, the last "t" has hereby been crossed, there shall indeed be a tomorrow... and that is what coach strong has been waiting for!
