It's a good time to do a recruiting chat after a big time weekend for Texas.  Fire away in this thread and I'll answer what I can.

Chris Brown just confirmed an OV for next weekend - is this a sign that staff knows D Anderson is probably not happening?

Also - any info on a possible Parrish Cobb visit?

What's your prediction on how many of these 18 or 19 recruits will commit to UT by signing day and which recruits?

scale of 1-10, 10 being confident. What would rate chances we land 2 defensive tackles

any additions (or subtractions) that would increase the final class size?

I don't think Brown is an indication on anyone other than the fact they'd like to keep him around and interested.  They did the same with Locksley last season in the midst of chasing Kyler Murray.  As for Cobb there has been some talk and I know he really liked Texas and is close with Cuffee.  If he makes it in next week as has been reported, things will get very interesting there.  If you saw the last ranking update I did you'll know I'm a big fan of Cobb.

Still working on numbers, but from all indications this visit went as well as it could have.  They still need to close strong down the stretch but from a rough guess I'd say we look back at this weekend as a big one.  I'll have my predictions out in Burnt Ends.

Obi Eboh is a concern, Im still trying to connect with him but that Stanford offer was a game changer.  Expect some spring attrition, but I'd say they are trying to bring in a 23-25 man class.

what do you think the chances are of landing both anderson and jones?

Do you think we can get Christmas here on campus?

I've been told all along that Shark and Djax will be Longhorns despite any rumors out there. If those two committ and Chris Brown joins, will that have any affect on Jordan E? Or have Horns moved on and content with getting a combination of Taylor, DCG, and/or Daniels to go with Wilbon.

Commitment #1 is in from this weekend.

Landing both will be a chore but I think they will get one.  I heard rumors a few weeks ago the two would be interested in playing together but I don't know how much stock I put in that.

I think the Horns have moved on from Elliott, but don't be surprised to see them take one more big run.

Do you think any of our Olinemen will crack the starting rotation not due to injury next year?

There's definitely a chance Shackleford plays early and I could see it from Okafor as well.  Delance still needs to put some weight on

if you can say, who do you think is going to be the next guy to announce? If you can say who then WHEN do you think we will hear the next announcement?

On the scale of 1-10 how do you rate Texas's recruiting weekend preparation?

With Shack being an early enrollee, could we possibly see a starting lineup Of (from left to right) Williams, Vahe, Shack, Perkins, Major. Will they have 2 true freshman in the starting lineup again with Delance starting over Major? Nice to finally have these problems of choosing T-Bone, Ribeye or Porterhouse. Instead of Raw Tbone or Chuck steak.

I can't say because these kids plan these moments out and I don't want to destroy that for them.  One of the announcements will run all the way to NSD while the other two could happen anytime within the next 2 weeks.

Man, I've been critical in the past of the way Texas approaches recruiting but if I had to give a number I'd say 9.5.  I don't even know what it is that's keeping me from making it a 10 other than it seems too easy.  The worry was a large group of prospects would be hard to manage but the Texas staff emptied all the chambers this weekend.  I'd like to see them put forward this type of effort every week throughout the season but they handled this as well as you could expect.

Shack is an ideal inside candidate, but he's never played center and he will have to start learning it this spring.  I think he will factor in early but I'm not sure he's a starter from the beginning.

And I always choose the Ribeye
