Quick Thoughts and Takeaways: For the third straight game, Texas is unable to hold a second half lead

Its not all about rankings. You can get four 5-star WRs each year and have your ranking in the top 5 every year. But you're not recruiting your needs like that and your team won't be very good.

I said we had as much talent as any team in the Big 12. Turns out we do. Spin it all you want.

Please remember this post come December!

Its something I watch for every year.

Would I like more OL in this class? God yeah. But there's only two candidates that we have on our board who I'd care to have. We can't keep taking the 3-star projects.
There are 5 OL 4 or 5 stars that have been offered and have visited.

I would takke any are all ll

Me too.

Not all of those five stars have interest in Texas.

I'd love to have Kam Dewberry join this class and he's not even a 5-star. The kid from Cali and the kid from Arlington are the two I think we have a shot at.

The above is the Blue Chip ration based on players that signed with those teams. Here's what the Top 10 Blue Chip ratio looks like if you go by what is actually on the current roster.

1.  Alabama     87.0%

2.  Georgia      77.6%

3.  Ohio State  76.4%

4.  Florida        65.8%

5.  LSU             65.3%

6.  Oklahoma   62.6%

7.  Texas           61.1%

8.  Clemson      60.9%

9.  Auburn        56.7%

10. Oregon       56.4%

10. Texas A&M 56.4%

Stay tuned and I will show you the numbers for the Big 12. You guys are really going to love it seeing what that looks like ?

Blue Chip ratio for Big 12 teams based on players currently on roster.

1. Oklahoma  62.6%

2. Texas         61.1%

3. TCU           20.5%

4. Baylor        14.8%

5. Tex. Tech    8.1%

5. West. Virg.  8.1%

7. Okla. St.      7.0%

8 Iowa St.       4.7%

9.Kansas St.   2.6%

10. Kansas      1.3%

Here's some additional context.

Texas and Oklahoma both have 52 Blue Chip players on their rosters. The rest of the Big 12 combined have 51. Next after Texas and OU are TCU with 16 and Baylor with 12.

Considering the issues we're having on the line and lack of depth at WR, why not try to move Bijan around like the Saints do with Kamara? Line him up on the outside or in the slot a couple of plays. Give the defense a different look and maybe get Bijan some touches with a little more open space. Also, this would create more opportunity to get Roschon and Keilan on the field with him at the same time. If you move him around like that, it maybe creates a little more havoc for the opposing defense.

All this says it that Alabama is the best at taking blue chips and developing them into NFL players. Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, and OK have developed most of their blue chip players.

Now as for you, the MPDD, now going full Herman, why didn't  you develop ANY OF THE 4* players that you signed. Guessing you are blaming your staffs both from when you got here and the 2nd staff and not your inability to stop doing the "BLOODY F`ING TUESDAY" workouts that caused the players to be playing injured 90% of the time.

That 66% is on you not Sark.

Please take your plastic ball and go back to your basement.

Excuses and spin. One of the reasons Sark took the job was the talent already here.

Herman is looking pretty good right now.

Never lost 3 in a row.

Never lost with as big of a lead as Sark has.

Never failed to win at least 7 games.

Never lost a bowl game.

Recruited in the top 10 every year and didn't leave behind empty shelves.

He's available.

Sorry, but as "appealing" as Dodge and Herman are, I want to see where we are at the end of next season. We're not even through Sark's first season. I know people always bring up Saban and Dabo when preaching patience with a coach after a lackluster start to their tenure. I want to offer another one, a Saban disciple. In Smart's first season at UGA, he went 8-5 (including a bowl win) and 4-4 in conference. In that season, UGA beat Nicholls State by 2 points and lost to Vanderbilt. Just saying, let's see what Sark can do when he gets more of his players into the program, hopefully brings in the OL help that SHA has alluded to, and overall, the team has a season under their belt in his system.

Its interesting that you accuse excuses and spin, and then provide a list of rather irrelevant facts.

1. So what?

2. 7 wins is your standard here? You can't even whip that out because you have no idea how many wins we'll have this year.

3. So what?

4. King of the Alamo Bowl.

5. But didn't recruit needs, which is why you have a pretty lousy OL and a LB room whose best player is a converted safety.

6. I don't doubt you would want Tom Herman back. It doesn't make any sense at all, which is why it fits your post so well.

Look multiple  personalities  dysfunctional  disorder,

No, Herman doesn`t look good now or ever.

Herman lost multiple  leads  which shows why you are a troll:

2 yrs. Ago agzinst OK  with a 21 point lead in the last 10 minutes of the 4 quarter. Only to be tied with less than a minutes, luckily Sam saved his ass. For last year against TT, TCU, ISU, and OK only to win in overtime against TT.

Yeah, everyone our new goal is 7 wins a year.

Only the Goergia game was a surprised.

No, 1st year, as a transition class was a highly 35th. Last year, was on him at 17.

The fact that the staff went out and got 4 LBs, 2-3 DEs, 1 WR, and 1 RB says otherwise on the empty selves. Not to mention the 7 DL in this class and hopefully 5 OL and 3 OL transfers.

So, you say there is no talent? Huh?

Guessing that your non biological son Hudson hates to hear you say that about him along with Worthy( this staff brought in), B. Robinson, C. Thopson, Wiley, J. Sanders.

He will never be a coach at Texas again because of the off the field  issues he caused.

We don't  know about Sark`s record yet in bowl games. What does that prove anyways as about half the players don't play in them unless they are the Jan. 1 bowls( not even then either) or CFP games.
