QB Practice Snaps

So with Swoopes getting 50% of the practice snaps, we are finally going to get to see the kid take some meaningful snaps in a ballgame.

From what I have seen from the UO defense, they can be run on.

Is. Mack really going to bench McCoy? I just can't see it. Hope I'm wrong though.
If McCoy throws a couple of Int's or Texas is getting blown out, we may see swoopes.

I don't think he benches him. I just hope he let's Swoopes play, even if it's just a few packages, here and there.

Is it possible, that mack wants to show everyone why he recruited swoopes before he isn't the coach anymore. And if so I wish he would of done it sooner

Hope so. Don't want to see this get ugly.
Running the ball and keeping it away from Oregon is the only chance Texas has to keep it close.

For that reason alone, I'd like to see Swoopes get some meaningful snaps. He would, at least, be another running option on the field.

Mccombs and Jamail threw case under the bus and Mack didn't say a word. Maybe he blames losing his job on him?

Hopefully the bowl practices will serve him well like Ash in 2011. Similarly, Case hasn't threatened to transfer, has he? :P

It makes sense to give our running QB snaps while our defense prepares to play a running QB in Mariota. I am sure the amount of game snaps Swoopes receives will be a reflection of how he looks in practice.

This is probably the case. Nothing in Mack's history tells me he will use Swoopes at all.

The Oregon defense is susceptible to the run, and as evidenced by Arizona, you don't have to necessary have elite talent on the line to get that job done. I expect Texas to try a very similar look to what Arizona did in its 42-16 blowout of the Ducks.

Whise...I am hanging my hat on that. Mack's ego may just be big enough he wants to win one for the Gipper (himself in this case...crap, i said Case...in this instance).

Take it fwiw being reported on 247 that coaches are just getting extra reps for Swoopes and nothing more.

Case will get the bulk of bowl prep snaps and probably play the whole game if it is close.

Mack will be Mack. A leopard doesn't lose it's spots. If you want to see Swoopes, look on the sideline.
