Parker French is coming back

Parker has announced he will return for another year.

Big news!
Now the wait for Schiraldi. I think Peters is gone but I think there's still a slight chance of Schiraldi coming back.

I was never really worried about French. Like I said a  while back, his family is education first. Unless he was set to make big money his family was going to persuade him to come back.

With French returning, this puts the roster at 38.. 3 over..

"I would like to thank the Detroit Tigers for the opportunity to play professional baseball but I have some unfinished business left in Austin," said French.

Sounds a bit like Mark Payton last year (which yielded great results for the Horns this year).  Glad to see French heading back to UT - the Longhorns need his arm and his experience.  He went in the 19th Round to Detroit but with a solid senior season he could easily better his draft status.  He has improved his performance every year and the Longhorns have a TON of young pitching talent, but French could establish himself as the guy in the rotation next year, easily.

Getting French back is big-time.

You hate to lose a talent like Schiraldi, but realistically, he's a project with an incredibly high ceiling. With the talented arms coming in the new group, LS didn't have a guaranteed spot from what we heard.
