It's probably similar all across the country.  Football is going to be on a slow decline unless some kind of medical/scientific advancement concerning CTE.

In fact, numbers are up slightly over the past five years in Texas (164,544 to 164,664), Florida (40,606 to 41,852) and Georgia (32,979 to 33,027) while declining about four percent in Ohio (44,431 to 42,637).





 





 
From the article, participation numbers are up in the biggest, high population Sun Belt states; TX, FL, and GA. No surprise that numbers are down slightly in the Rust Belt, including OH.

 Those increased participation numbers may be nothing more than a reflection of increase in total population. The percentages might also be down.
