They will one day look back and see what Dad did for them.I have a funny goat story. I was a medic in the Army and got deployed to Somalia two weeks after the Blackhawk down incident. We trained with some Ranger medics and one of our tasks was to keep our goat alive after we inflicted several "catastrophic" injuries upon them. Ours had a leg amputation and abdominal evisceration but we kept ours alive the longest at 36 minutes. A few days later we were down at the University complex and there was a burger stand where they served goat burgers. I always wondered if my goat was on the menu. Damn good burger though..it sure beat the hell out of an MRE![]()
Really wish I would have followed my dream of being in the medical field. I had aspirations of being an RN or PTA but being a single parent of two girls, I had to keep food on the table and had to sacrifice some of my dreams.
