I'm a fan. Why do I have a feeling most those players train with a pitcher of beer and a pack of Marlboro's?

never got into that sport, but they have down in Florida in the Assisted Living Park.

The Russians are bringing the heat.

I am a new convert to the sport! Somehow, the idea of lingerie curling is much more intriguing than the lingerie football league was ... all that contemplative bending over and all ... ;)

Gee! Look! When you quote it, the picture gets bigger ... not unlike ... oh, never mind! ;)

i would make an excellent curler. back in the day, i was the master of the shuffleboard at Jake's on 5th street. When I had the hammer, the word dominate was insufficient.

now that i am retired from shuff, i think i would be willing to take on a coaching position with the womens' team.

Joe my friend I can't see you in a thong and trying to be a curler;) I am about to catch hell for saying this from a guy who can dish it out. My friends y'all have a great week.

Haven't been there for a few years, but Jake's board used to reside at Shoal Creek Saloon on Lamar south of The Tavern.

when Jake's closed i entered a period of mourning that lasted several years. i'm still not completely over it, to be honest. Jake's was my Cheers.

Yes it is one of the great viewing events of the winter Olympics - although it ranks with bowling in terms of athleticism.

Most rinks are smoke free zones, and modern society has taken much of the fun out of it. When I first started curling people would actually compete with a cigarette in their mouth and a glass of rye close at hand. You could take it with no ice and it would still stay cold.

If we're being honest, any place with scotch and a couple of Frauleins would qualify as "your Cheers."
