***** NFL DRAFT THREAD *****

Cowboys got their guy with Vander Esch. 2nd round should be WR or TE.

I like the Cowboys pick, but I would have taken him in the second round. IMO, there were two LBs better on the board. There was something they really liked about him. Maybe he looked like a Sean Lee starter kit.

I honestly thought they'd take Ridley with that pick, replacing Bryant. Silly me.

I'm clueless as to why the Cowboys didn't pick Evans out of Alabama. But whatever...

The Pats just took a sub 6’3 OL to play tackle for them. Folks rave about Wynn and think he can stick at tackle in the league despite not fitting the prototype.

There was a lot of talk this year that 1st round WR's were a crap shoot just like QB's. Recent drafts seem to bear that out. I figure Evans was one LB you thought was better than Vander Esch, who was the other?

Rashaad Penny is a major reach at 27. Guice, Michel, Chubb and Jones are still on the board.

I love the Vander Esch pick from Dallas.  This is the player I hoped would be there and the Cowboys didn't get caught up in the "we need a WR" narrative and pick from a group that don't belong in the first round.  Evans from Bama would have been fine, but I believe Vander Esch is much better in coverage which is where the league is headed.  I've read that some are concerned about Vander Esch's strength, the same was said about Sean Lee coming out of Penn State.  Once this is his job 24/7, strength won't be an issue.

I like the Cowboys pick as well. Garrett had an interesting observation about his supposed lack of physicality. Due to him being 6’4’’ he doesn’t have the leverage to just knock people backwards. But he always brings them down. I’m hoping we get Poona as well.

The Baker Mayflied - Favre comparisons are silly. Not sure if it's Baker actually pushing this or other people but if you were old enough and watched a few games of Favre at Southern Miss on espn back in the day, he stood out like a crazy badass, yes, but with a HUGE ARM. His arm leapt out at you, his big hands, like they didn't fit on his body. Mayfield? Not so much. I really only remember a mobile, fairly clutch jackass.

Seems like the folks on NFL Network think Connor Williams could be heading to Cleveland to kick off the night.

Only the seniors should have entered the draft. Idk what info these kids received but it appears it was misleading...
