I never thought I would say this but some of y'all sounds like a b unch dang aggies what ever an aggy is. I will not turn on this coach are these kids who are fighting there asses off . They are trying to bring some respectiable back to the greast university hands down. I still feel that MB is somewhat responable for what is going on with this team way to many early commits. For example his falure to recruite a QB. Who in there right mind sings a QB and tells him "I will not recruite abother QB in this class if you sign". I am not going to call out this young man it want help, That not counting the other young men who peeked in high school and never proved themselves on the big stage at The University Of Texas. It is always the darkest before the light can be seen at the end of the tunnel. I still have faith in what CS is trying to bring to Texas and this very young class of young men. My friends y'all have a blessed week.

I agree. This team doesn't "quit" like some of the MB teams.

Charley really needs another couple of great classes and continue

to upgrade his staff were needed & things should be good...

I agree.  This team will be much better by the end of the year, and, with another good recruiting class, will be much better next year.  Many very good freshman players on the team and you can expect several freshmen starters next year if CS recruits like he did last year.. Rebuilding Texas was/is, IMO, going to be a  3-4 year project.

I agree with your sentiments, jimsTexas.  Some people just need to take a longer view, IN BOTH DIRECTIONS OF TIME!  ;)

By the way, I know that you drive your RV all over creation ... we are about three weeks away from taking a great three week trip.   My wife will fly up to NYC to see her brother while I drive up with our two catahoulas.  Then we will drive up and take the ferry for a week on Nantucket.  On the way back, we will then spend eight or nine days driving the Skyline Parkway, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Natchez Trace Parkway back to Texas.  We don't take an RV ... instead we have refined packing a small station wagon to a fine art, for us and our pups.  In fact, it was on our last trip to Maine when I realized that our catahoulas would just as much appreciate a several day tour of the prime trash cans of our Country's Finest Rest Stops ... and it took me how many trips across the country with these dogs to figure this out!?  ;)

The moral of this story is that I am gonna keep my priorities focused on what's most important ... and with regards to this football team, I am afraid that the best times are still a little bit down the road ... so maybe some of ya'll need to lighten up a bit and enjoy the trip!  ;)

Explain what makes next year any better than this one. Look at the OL could not replace Perkins.Maybe 4-5 years they will be better.

I am definitely excited about the future. I think we have a lot to be excited about. I also think there are some parts of our coaching that needs to be critiqued. Constructive criticism does not mean fire the coach. I realize there is always some fighting in a family but we seem to be taking it to the next level here. Hook'em Horns!! Stay strong Longhorn family.

Agree with all above except brother Eastex. We have good OL'men in the oven who will be ready next year. Agree we could use more, but recruiting not over yet.

Very young team with very bright future.

if you watch Texas play and do not see that with few exceptions the best players at every position are freshmen and sophs. who makes the plays on defense , who makes plays on offense. what this Texas team is lacking is getting a win over good team once they learn to win this will become fun again.  unlike previous 5 years this team is competing and improving in small steps. making any coaching change other than if watson leaves after season is not the right choice until Charlie has another class of recruits the man knows talent it is Perrin job to give him his time. but right now no player should redshirt even if all they can play is special teams unless they are injured or the 2 frosh qb`s unless Heard gets hurt because at that point Locksley needs to play.

We are 114 in Total Defense and 111 in Total Offense. If by small steps you mean that we are up from 128 and 124, then I agree.

I have been down the Natchez Trace and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Don't let you gas get low on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Gas prices are a killer if you have to fill up. My friends y'all have a blessed week.

Jim's,

If you get the chance, you might want to visit the Cherokee Museum in Cherokee, NC. I found it very interesting, but I do have some Cherokee heritage.

Y'all have a blessed journey.

Thanks for the info. The last trip that Deb and I took was last year. It covered 4,280 miles went up the East Coast all the way into Nothern Canada. But my health is preventing us from traveling at this time. My friends y'all have a blessed week

We're 1-3. Following 6-7. Not being apeshit optimistic about the program right now doesn't make one a defeatist. It's math.
