Motion Sickness Patch

I was once surfing off Baja after a large BBQ (mexican lobsters over a campfire = yummy). But a great night was ruined when mescal bottle was passed around. Way, way too much.

There was a storm. The seas were extreme.

And, you guessed it, I got seasick sitting on my surfboard.

How ridiculous is that?

I puked right there in the water.

Paddled away.

Felt much better.

Only happened to me once.

Once was enough.

LOL! I would have upchucked long before I ever got ON the paddleboard. So, Big John, where are you from?

Doc, my PCP prescribed me Meclizine, so no patch. Hope it does the trick.
sorry, but on this don't trust the doc. i've had a bunch of them tell me "oh, you need this or that". no. the answer is no, doc. gimme the patch or i'll find me another doc. nothing ever worked for me other than the patch.

I know the patch works almost 100%. Unless you have a non-functional vestibular, like I think my bride has ( :) ), I would opt for the patch. Did your doctor inquire about any allergies you might have? Do you?

I ask this because Meclizine is essentially an industrial grade antihistamine.

At that time I was doing some graduate level work at a school in Sandy Eggo.

I loved those trips down to Baja.

Go into Ensenada and buy the lobster by the kilo in burlap bags, and Coronoas by the case. That's all you need.

Or, drive to a dive bar overlooking the water. Two tales, tortillas, rice, beans and 2 margaritas for ~$10. Watch the sunset.

Life could be worse.
