Not gonna happen for LHN or any other conference network - new NCAA rule

LHN and ESPN made no secret that UIL sports were going to be a significant component of its programming.  Aggies, among others, raised hell because it gave UT "an unfair advantage" with recruiting.  I can see their point, but this rule indirectly screws BTN, SECn, etc.  They'd love to televise big high school games in their marketing areas, too.  Oh well

My guess is "no" because every conference network and LHN would love to have access to high school programming.  How many times can LHN re-broadcast the Civil Rights Summit?

It'd be fun if the UIL can sign an exclusive TV rights deal with LHN.  That would be outstanding.

Well, the LHN has been added to the Watch ESPN app!  Great news for the Android, Ipad, and Chromecast users, who couldn't get LHN on the go. 

Unfortunately, it does not appear as if they have added it to the Watch ESPN channel on Roku yet.  I emailed ESPN about this this morning.  Will report back on what I hear. 

Really hoping to get it working on Roku for ease of streaming over the holiday weekend if we can't get Dish set up at the lake in time for the first game.
