Monday Press Conference Thread

Strong just got put in the hardest position I've ever seen a person put in. Having to field questions about leaving his "family" in front of them. What did he do? He handled it with the most class I've ever seen. I hope to be half the person he is.

That was admirable.
He's amazing. No matter where he goes, I will root harder for him than anyone else. He is such a good man. If I had kids that played football, I send them to play for him. I understand the love for him.

Warrick: Coach Strong and coach Brown are different but alike at the same time. They want the same goal."

Warrick: "I had my parents call and ask if something happened. I felt like he wanted to clear it up with us more than anybody."

Warrick on having fun on Friday: "It starts in practice. We can't be moping around. If we have energy, it'll carry into the game."

Warrick: "Personally I'm good at blocking stuff out. As far as my teammates, I can't speak for them. That's the world we live in. Things are posted and said, and guys react differently."

The players love Charlie more than any team I've ever seen. It's easy to see why he's so loved.

Warrick on if they are playing for seniors or Charlie: "We are playing for each other. We are all going to play for coach Strong."

Boyette: "It's real emotional because he gave me a chance to prosper in the program. I never met such a genuine guy that has brought so much passion to the team."

Boyette: "He's so level headed. He takes all the punches for us. It's not human. It's really not. For me, I love coach Strong."

Boyette: "You can't ask for a better guy to turn the program around. You can see the growth. He brings the best out of guys. He knows every single guy, including the walk-ons."
