Might be a good time for the insiders to say something.

Sure seems like it. If Mack is back than I would say that Patterson can be deemed an epic failure....and it only took him two weeks to achieve it.
Can't argue with that. An epic failure it would be.

Ok, to play devils advocate, I haven't seen this said, yet: ESPN is reporting "agrees to contract extension." Does anyone know if he has actually signed it, yet? Could this be a big snow job on MB?

Hilarious and appropriate. Bravo!

I still can't believe that Patterson, a business man not Mack's buddy, would bring Mack back. I don't know the man but his actions at previous jobs shows he's not here to buddy up. I've got to believe something is happening that has yet been publicly acknowledged. This is the University of Texas and with all it's money, power, tradition and fan base we can go out and land an incredible coach. This time of mediocrity is over. Maybe I'm in complete denial but I've got to believe something bigger than bringing Mack back is happening.

i'll give a non-biased opinion... those of us from other fanbases feel sorry for you guys. on the other hand we feel that there's some level of corruption for mack to grab them by the horns and stay. Also you have 2 certain insiders (not one on here) that are probably never going to be trusted again.
I am not completely unbiased but I agree that many are going to feel sorry for Texas fans because it looks like their administration is in total disarray right now and their coach is way too selfish than to do what is best for the program. Also, that the administration is incapable/unwilling to do what they need to when the coach thinks of himself first. The fans deserve better for as much as they care about the program and put into it. Instead they get what they are seeing tonight. Good luck on finding someone who can still right the ship.
