I think the majority of the fan base would agree that Mack is a good man and has created a family friendly environment at Texas that served him and the University very well for many years. However, you don't need to be an insider to see that Mack has fought to keep his job when it was NOT in the best interests of anyone except for him. He has been very well compensated for producing an inferior product, so I feel no remorse for Mack. I am grateful for the good he has done, but it is somehow impossible for me to forget 4 historic and utterly humiliating defeats to our archrival and holding on to a job that passed him by at least 3 years ago.

Quan Cosby was pretty "pissy" about it on Twitter, but he also is still bitter about Greg Davis being let go years ago. Still thinks hes the best offensive mind in football apparently.

Doesn't look like Texas saw an upgrade with either Harsin or Applewhite. In the mean time, Greg Davis has Iowa playing LSU in the Outback Bowl. So just maybe he isn't the slouch everyone has taken for granted that he is.

Rod Babers was saying on the Sports Buffet the other day that he left Mack Brown the coach awhile back, but Mack Brown the man is someone he will always admire

I enjoyed the last podcast. Rod explaining leaving the "formula" (i.e., premier quarterbacks) for a "system" (plug and play Alabama after 2009 MNC) was an interesting take.

Of course Hall has only good things to day. If it wasn't for Mack he would have been a water boy here.

I'm sorry, you're saying Chris Hall was only a water boy for Texas?

That pretty much did it for me. How do I put Anubis on ignore. I can't stand reading his shit. Anyone? Please let me know.

Guys, I think it is important to remember that emotions are high right now.

Some are looking for the healing to begin, some are looking to celebrate Macks tenure and other's have not been able to wash the nasty taste out of their mouth that the last four years have left.

Let's do our best to keep that in mind when corresponding on Hornsports.

Chris Hall is a very good man.
There should be more like him.
He is/was a highly under-rated OL. Everyone remembers Suh destroying him, but forget his versatility in 2007 allowed the OL to not completely crater after we experienced a lot of injuries. I think Hall played every position that season at some point.
