...honey i'm home!...

16hr flight in from dubai, uae, stop over in amsterdam, holland, (freezing cold)... finally made it to houston, tx. boy, it is good to be home.

"horn sports" may we please bare in mind, that no matter what comes forth upon the next few day's, in regards to the overall "status" of our search as per the next head coach of the "texas longhorns".... please know that we are all indeed "blessed".

here we are journeying into the new year, all the while visualizing so many new possibilities. yes, i am completely excited as per what is coming forth upon next week vs the new year. however, i also want to remain "humble" and bare in mind... the daily strife and struggles of the less than fortunate. (we must try and help others as much as possible)

...it's great to be home. go horns beat oregon!...

What do you do for that type of travel? Would love to see Dubai and Amsterdam

i am a "sr operations specialist" as per "fluor daniel corporation". i have been a government contractor now approaching 9+ years throughout the "theater of afghanistan" respectively.

in order to move "in vs out" of afghanistan, we have to journey to dubai, uae (official port of entry) as per many (usa government contractors) working out of afghanistan.

...trust me, very exciting travel... i simply love it...

I was a consultant with IBM for a bit and did some world wide travel. It can definitely be draining, especially during the holidays. I know how you feel so welcome back!

Welcome back Monarch! Glad to have you back home. McPhaul and I are drinking a beer toasting your arrival back in the good old USA. #Hookem

Welcome home.

My niece leaves tomorrow for Europe and I just told her what you said about the weather.

That flight from Amsterdam to Houston is a haul. Did it in October. Adding in a leg from Dubai is a crazy haul

Did you see a lot of Americans and Europeans working there? I've heard there used to be many from the US and the UK working in the real estate business in Dubai, where they building entire cities from scratch, and fill them with fancy, expensive highrise apartment buildings, and even more expensive, luxury houses. Some work as agents, some as speculators.

...my friend, you may be shocked as to how very "americanized" dubai is...

please bare in mind that whenever you mention the term "worker" in reference to dubai... it generally pertains to the thousands of migrant workers brought in from (bangladesh, maylaysia, india, indonesia. etc) to perform the actual construction duties. "emirates" generally, do not perform any duties of this nature. when it comes to dubai... americans are the money, protector, and everything else to lean upon in times of constraint. we are treated like "gold". american restaurants are everywhere throughout dubai. my company has two hotels in dubai. nevertheless, i always lodge at either the "the address hotel" dubai mall or "hotel kempinski" mall of the emirates (google them and you shall see for yourself just how fabulous these hotels are) each mall is bigger than some small towns..... simply amazing place.
