Mack Brown on GameDay

Here is some more Mack insight --

"Texas needs to get the running game going and Tyrone is going to have to throw the ball downfield."

The Texas fans I talked with this week have reiterated the following:

1.  A win over UCLA would be surprising

2.  If the Longhorns lose, the team better show some heart and some fight until the end

With all that Strong is trying to do with his culture change, I can't say #2 is to be disagreed with.

I noticed no one started a up "Predict the Score" thread this week.

There is only one reason for that.

My impression of Brown was a little different.

To me, it looked like he did not really want to have this discussion but he had no choice.

Given that reality, he was attempting to say as little for as long as he could get away with it.

For example, compare his take to what Herbie said.  There was a sharp contrast in tone.

IMO, all of this would have a different look and feel if we were playing better and winning games.

Instead, the poor play, lack of talent, unimaginative offense and same result against BYU (despite major upheaval and turnover in the program) has made everyone extra sensitive, which acts to magnify Brown's otherwise banal comments.

Mack should have reiterated what his buddy Red said....That "Charlie would make a great coordinator but was clueless as a head coach." That would have started a sh** storm of huge proportions.  LMAO........ Just kidding.....Mack did the best he could without saying the truth. He knows that OL is SOFT.

You gotta hate guys like Ponder. . .signs Multi million NFL contract . .. marries (knocks up) smoking hot babe .. . .

Reminds me of the former Cowboy QB who'd signed for millions out of HS playing MLB. . .didn't work out . .. $5 million or so signing bonus with the Cowboys. . .didn't work out. . .made great investments. . .

Went back to Stanford to finish his degree/get masters. .  ..LOADED .. . .

maybe it's just my over load of southern compassion, but i sense a strong sadness emanating from mack brown.  even upon his espn set.  he just seem's sad for some reason...

What Mack said is true...how can that be bad

If you had asked CS, he would have said the same
