I'm told Bruce Chambers is only assistant who was retained. Texas will have a new receivers coach.

Per Max Olson

Yea, can't believe that. Chambers would have been the last member of that staff, outside Madden, that I would have retained.

Looks like Wyatt may land as the OC at North Carolina. I like the assistant hires thus far, but remain confused on retaining Chambers. I get his connections to the DFW recruiting area, but am wondering if there's more of a connection to him and having info on the Kearney deal as his position oversight of the TEs was probably the most under performing position on the team since Irby was hurt years ago.

Just a guess, but if Wyatt was not going to get the OC job here and had a chance to get the UNC one, the decision was easy for him to make.

If all Chambers has is Bev Kearney crap...take your lumps and move on...

Not worth hurting the football team!!!

D-Wyatt is a cool dude and a good coach. If he leaves the 40 I hope it benefits him and his family tremendously.

Just had to do this...nothing worth anything, but it is my 700th post... ;)

Coming for you BB!!!

Absolutely agree. I think that is why most of us are upset he is leaving. We are greedy and want him here. I am interested to see how he does there. I think he has a lot of potential.
