Hey guys or whoever, new to your board.

A friend of mine (Horn Fan) & I are coming to the Baylor game on 10/14. What is a good time to get on campus to walk around and visit some tailgates? Being an LSU fan, I have no idea of the culture or fanfare surrounding UT  home games. Looking forward to visiting with some folks, as I am planning on coming back in '19 when the Tigers roll into town. Also, should be in Austin for the baseball series in the spring.

Also, we are in need of tix @ this time, are they readily available around the stadium for a decent price, or should I just go to stub hub and get some?

TIA & appreciate any info!

Give you my experience from last year...although with Del Conte, new things will be going on....

If it’s anything like CDC did at TCU then you won’t have a problem at all finding the crowds. Bevo boulevard sounds fun. He had something similar in Ft worth when I went to the game last year, vendors with games and free food all around. @MBHORNSFAN was very welcoming to my family and one of my family members was a Osu fan. Fit right in.  His tail gate was great.

As far as tickets... what we did was wait till the night before, got good tickets on stub hub and printed em off right downtown. Was simple. There was a lot of tickets being sold on the street but no idea how good they were since we already had ours.

Thanks for the info. This will be my 1st game in Austin, and my friend hasn't been to 1 since the mid 90's. We do a lot of tailgating in BR, and was just wondering if it's anything close to that.

Agree with okiehorn, you need to find MBHornfan (Mike)'s tailgate. Get there early so you can get some good food.

It would be very bad if you didn't get some 'cue. It will be mostly the only thing you smell tomorrow and that smell will be everywhere.

Visitors are treated well outside DKR. You should have a great time.
