google that pre game photo at DisneyLand where you saw Mack and Vince and Lienhart and USC coach. I swear that was the moment Texas won that game. The body language tells the whole story
I googled and couldn't find it

I didn't think this was an argument. Take away his arm and 2005 isn't relevant.

Baron, take away his arm and he's not even a scholarship athlete at Texas. Who would start a QB with no arms?

VY in 2005 had a great passing threat as well but yea I agree his real threat was his long stride and deceptive speed.

I am by no means an OC. But, when Vince and Colt were playing, it seemed like the receivers ran to a hole/gap in the secondary and the QBs delivered the ball. After Mack and Co were gone, I wondered why more coaches didn't use the same philosophy.

I assumed our receivers were poorly coached (not too likely) or couldn't translate the coaching to the field. It also depends on the pass coverage. Those holes only tend to exist in zone coverage. In any case, a lot of Quinn's passes are to open receivers these days which is great to see.

when Carrol was interviewed after the game, he was asked why they went for it on 4th down late when they had the lead and he simply said.."we couldnt stop the quarterback."....Then Linert was interviewed and was asked what happened and he just said..." we couldn't stop the quarterback"...

pretty conclusive evidence why they lost....

Vince was the greatest, but the D did stop them on 4th down.
And they also had a really good offense.
It takes a whole team to win a natty.
Just ask Caleb Williams
