No, but Bohls pretty much assures us that TFB is right on this. lol
I listened to the On Second Thought podcast with Kirk, Cedric and Brian Davis I think I lost intelligence. They basically kept saying that all things being equal Casey starts because of being there for 4 years. My thought process would say if Casey and Hudson are equal with Casey having 4 years on campus and Hudson only being there for 1 year, Hudson should start because he caught up in 1 year and has the greater upside.

I'm not sure how much this feeds into the decision process but if Hudson wins the job Casey is unlikely to stick around and we will likely need both this season.

Completely agree that Card has a lot more upside.  However, it's a very touchy subject and if the QBs are really equal and you will get the same production and wins with either QB, I say you go with Thompson.  If Card is QB1, I really believe Thompson will transfer out leaving Texas with Card and a very green Charles Wright at QB.  I don't think Card will transfer if he is the backup and can overtake Thompson next year.  If Thompson leaves then that's okay because Wright will have a year of development under his belt and Murphy will be QB3 to start.  I know that sounds chickenshit, but a coach seriously has to look at that scenario moving forward with a decision.....if both QBs are really equal for this year.  If Card is clearly better right now, then you roll the dice with him.

I hope it doesn’t feed into it. Casey isn’t playing anywhere else this fall. He still has 3 years of eligibility left. If you start Casey and he comes back next year Hudson will transfer next year. If they are really tied, you should start the highest upside guy. Alabama doesn’t worry about that, when Tua was better than Jalen Hurts they pulled the trigger.  They didn’t worry about hurt feelings.

I tried that podcast once and it made my ears bleed. Try Longhorn Blitz, they have a real podcast

Skip the first 10-15 minutes which is introducing each person (each of which is there every week) and happy small talk.

Just mentioning for fun... I'm a Horn fan living in Cincy.

Ossai is putting on a show in the first half against Tampa tonight and Cincy fans are going absolutely bonkers over him already. I tried to tell the folks here that a 3rd round pick on J.O. was probably the steal of the draft. He's looking great so far.
