What do you think about the running back by committee stance? I love the depth but have always thought you need a bell cow at running back.
I love it. You will need all three backs through the season. No reason not to keep them primed. Let all three see some action and go with the hot hand.

I don't expect all three to make it through the season without injury. So this stuff tends to work itself out.

I guess I just miss the 1000 yd back. ?

Yeah, me too. Back when the NFL only played 10 game seasons, getting 1,000 yards was a big deal.

Now they play 16 game seasons, which while conducive to 1,000 yard production, its also conducive to injury and wear/tear.

I like the multi back approach gives a change of pace. LSU and others have used this approach for years.

Watching UTEP Vs. SFA and Texas better win convincingly against them next week.  UTEP OL is horrible and their DL is small.  QB is ok.  Can't really tell about their RBs because OL is bad.  They're losing 14-10 to SFA in the 2nd qtr.

Whoops, as soon as I typed the above SFA turns the ball over and now UTEP is up 17-14

So for TV streamers like myself what’s the best way to watch LHN? I got rid of Direct tv a year ago and never looked back... until this coming Saturday! A quick google search suggested “Vue” a 5 day free trial but any other suggestions?

Sling!  Signup for a free trial.  I have Sling anyway so it works for me.  I think you may have to get the sports pack.

PS Vue went out of business about a year ago.  It was good and I was pissed to see it go.

Seven teams that could invade the exclusive College Football Playoff for the first time in 2020

2. Texas

Like Florida, Texas is trying to live the dream of the 2000s after a decade in the wilderness. Oklahoma has been the most dominant Big 12 program not just in the playoff era but for the league's entire existence, yet any whiff of Texas potentially returning to title contention has us doing the "back" dance even though "back" has no defined target or well-entrenched set of expectations. But without a doubt, the conversations start with Oklahoma and the need not just to win the rivalry game (something Tom Herman has done) but also take care of business against the rest of the league (something Herman has not done). The Longhorns are 17-10 in Big 12 play over the last three years, and if Texas is going to make the CFP, it has to avoid bad losses. The Longhorns have fallen to an unranked conference opponent in each of Herman's three years in Austin, Texas, and it's those losses -- not necessarily one to Oklahoma -- that have to be eliminated in order for Texas to take the next step. Forget about "back." For Texas, it should be all about "forward."
