I see one glaringly obvious event this season that seems to effect every team the same. If the QB is injured, the team struggles.

Tx-Alabama....if our QB is not injured, we win that game. If Bryce Young is out of that game we win

if OU has a QB they might have at least put up a fight.

If Texas has Ewers, they win the TT game.

......and so it goes......If Duggin is out TCU has a tough time.

Duggans actually lost the starting QB job to Chandler Morris in Fall camp and is only playing now because Chandler Morris got injured in game 1 - so Duggin is technically the backup QB

I don't think anybody thinks Card is bad. I think it is made to appear that way because of the over the top-ness that resides on the board requires rebuttals that make it seem as though Card is being picked on. He's not.

Ewers is pretty good, even at this early, early stage of his career. He keeps playing, he keeps getting better. This is exciting because the ceiling is so much higher. He'll be much better than "good" when this is over.

He instills confidence in fans. Imagine the confidence he gives his offense and even defense for that matter.

I love Card. He might be the best backup QB in America right now.
Yes Ewers is very good with chance to be great! You could be right that no one thinks Card is bad, IMO if Card had started game and had same stats as Ewers had, would been a lot of postpointing his bad decisions and throws.

With a 49-0 score? You expect complaints with a 49-0 score?

You need to understand. There is no Ewers vs Card here or anywhere on this board. We're all Pro-Texas, as in whoever is playing QB is our favorite person in the world (unless of course he loses, lol).

We want to win. We are loyal to winning. Not to Ewers. Not to Card.

For the time being, Ewers gives us the best chance to win.

No more, no less.

Sadly, there were some on the game thread every time Ewers made a mistake.

Hopefully we can put the back and forth behind us and all enjoy a run toward a long time coming successful season.?

I was looking at this earlier today. Jatavion is on pace for 566 yards, 50 catches and 10 TDs.

The best TE yards for a season are 637 (William Harris 1984), 613 by David Thomas and 575 by Jermichael Finley.

The most TDs were by Pat Fitzgerald at 8 in 1995.

The most catches in a season by a TE is 50.

Does Sanders keep up his pace? Well, it seems he has done most of his damage with Ewers at QB so I wouldn't be surprised.

I understand your points as for as I am concerned I do not carewho plays QB Just so it the best chance of winning

ut you tell me that there has not been post running down Card. And prove it and you will never see me mention his name again!

49 to 0 doubt if that would matter.

Absolutely I think he does. He's clearly a favorite target for Ewers and Sark. With X on the outside and Whittington doing damage, its easy for teams to forget Sanders. . . for the time being.

Yes, I will tell you there has been no posts outright running down Card. There have been numerous posts detailing his deficiencies, but mostly in response to outlandish comments to the contrary. As I've said many times now, its really unfair for those posters to keep causing the same comments.

People tend to reply to things they don't agree with. In this case, there is one or two individuals that keep being in denial of the painfully obvious.

I promise you if that stuff ceased, you'd not see another post about Card unless its a game thread and he mucked up somehow.
