Yeah and they have Texas at 4th in the conference.Got my issue of DCTF this evening. They pick Texas to go 8-4. Also Baylor to win conference? They have a hot 100 for recruits this year.
Not much love for Longhorn players either. On the two all Texas university teams, 3 players on offnse ( one out for year Jr.) and one on defense teams,Yeah and they have Texas at 4th in the conference.
While i wouldnt call it a silver lining, the young OL players are gonna have to pick up the slack. Gonna suck early on, but they will get a lot of experience for next year.
WR - lots of options, especially if some shine like you said. That said, there is no one who can replace what Neyor could do out there. Lowers the ceiling of the offense a bit but still plenty for Sark to play with.Hall better get his shit together then and Omiere and Whittington need to stay healthy and upright. Hearing good things about Red and Thompson though. Grabbing Milton is turning out to be genius.
Worthy, Whittington and Hall/Omiere to start
Bench: Hall/Omiere, Milton, Thompson, Red and Cain
Still a really good WR corps.
Maybe the Horns get lucky with 2 breakout Fr in back to back years (Worthy last year and Thompson this year).
Same goes for the RB room with Bijan, Keilan, Brooks and Blue from a RB talent POV. What the Horns lose in not having Rojo is his leadership and drive on the field.
Imo, Angilau is the biggest potential loss. He may not be the best OL in pure talent but he was/is the best OL in talent + experience and is a veteran presence on the OL. Hopefully his isn't quite so bad.
Spot on.WR - lots of options, especially if some shine like you said. That said, there is no one who can replace what Neyor could do out there. Lowers the ceiling of the offense a bit but still plenty for Sark to play with.
RB - plenty of good depth, would be nice to have Rojo out there for Bama, if we have a shot we need intangible players like him.
OL - We maybe have 8 decent to good options, Angilua being one of them. Being down to 7 makes things tight but doable with good health going forward.
Angilau has been working at Center while Cole Hutson had apparently won the RG spot as he was the one taking 1st team reps at that spot. Angilau has been rotating with Majors at Center. Chances are Angilau isn't even starting, though he would provide valuable depth.Spot on.
I kind of look at Neyor as being an unknown in my eyes. I can't really miss what I've technically never really observed. Hard for me to say how much of a loss it really is. Not knocking Neyor at all, the potential is definitely a loss. I think Sark can adjust and maybe use Billingsley and Sanders more together. Lots of options to mask the loss.
On the OL, I guess i always figured the starting 5 would be (L to R): Karic, Angilau, Majors, Conner, Jones.
Primary backups: Banks, Campbell, Garth Hutson, Williams and Parr.
Question is, does Banks or Campbell start. I picture Banks as a OT and DJ as an OG, but I think both are agile, strong and physically able to play both spots. I dont really know what Flood does so I'll just shut up and let him do his job.
