Spoke to the Longhorn Foundation on Friday. They informed me I would get seats for games if I wanted them. I have until August 31st to decide. Not sure what I am going to do at this point..

Get your tickets and go. Wear a mask and be safe. We might have a very special year and you will be mad at yourself if you’re not there.

I'd get the tickets. Like DR said, you may wish you did. This could be a big year.

Friend of mine well connected at TCU said their QB is gone for the year, perhaps for his career. While being tested for the Covid, they discovered a heart issue that he's had all his life. Apparently, it is a risk for him to play football right now. Not sure if its permanent. Tough break for the kid.

I asked who would replace him . . . "ahhh, some walk-on, I don't know." lol

I gave up my seats this year.  Applied the money to next season.

Same. My loyalty points are clearly lacking as they were going to reseat me from my 37 yd line seats to section 18 in the end zone.  I'll hate not being there, but will see what it's like to watch the games on the tube this year.  My worry, despite all the excellent protocols we have in place at Texas, is that other programs will be less successful with Covid protocols and the season may struggle to be completed fully.  Definitely want to be wrong as we need football in the worst way.

Yeah, we decided to opt out as well and donated some of the balance. We have a six-month old though, so that was a big factor in our decision.

It's going to be a bummer not being in the stands but look forward to taking our little one to her first game next season.
