Where did you hear this?
Gabe Brooks Midlands Region recruiting analyst says that he heard from multiple sources that he was suspended for tonight's game vs. Carthage.

and according to the Carthage game broadcast, was told by the Liberty-Eylau's announcers that Carson was kicked off the team.

This was an errant report. Talked to a VERY strong source that said he was suspended for one game but not removed from the team.
Awesome! Thanks for clarifying Mike! - Do you think this will affect his relationship with the UT coaches?
Also, feel free to delete this thread so it doesn't cause hysteria.

It's fine. I think he will be fine with the coaches.

I was told he has been kicked off the team. He cannot get along with his HS coaches which has been a problem for some time.

Word around here is he doesn't have the best home life and has some bad influences that hang around him. Getting to Austin and away from LE would probably do him well.

He needs some structure in his life, but I spoke to two very good sources last night that said this wasn't a huge issue and they expected him back next week.

Carson was back at practice yesterday. I do not know if he has any positive influences in is life besides his coaches, but he needs some outside of football.

I hate to hear or read some of the comments  but I have to ask is this young man  worth the risk if he is already showing signs of possible character issues.  I understand what many are saying about his home life and that he is hanging around individuals who are not the best influence.  Those things will not just go away when he gets to Texas let alone the academic challenges that he will face. He might be one of the top recruits in the State but a big concern for me would be his role as a team Leader for his small town high school. With the comments made it does not appear this is the case. If Texas has a succesfull season recruiting talent will not be an issue .  Just my opinion .

Personally, I'm willing to let Charlie be the judge on this one. He knows this kid better than we do. Since we've obviously seen in the past that Charlie has no problem kicking people off the team if they become an issue while they're at UT, I don't see the problem in giving him a shot.

My 2 cents. UT doesn't need a problem to contend with. Why take chances when there is already "smoke"?

From everything I've heard, he's the kind of kid that you do take in and give a shot to. He's in the need of structure and will probably thrive once he has it. The Texas locker room is tightly knit and can handle it. Like someone else said, if he is an issue, Charlie has no issue cutting him loose.

I was told that he has some type of learning disability. I don't know to what extent or what it might be. Also don't know if it has anything to do with his off the field problems.
