Someone on here said a couple of weeks ago that Kentucky is a mediocre team. I thought that comment was nuts then, and it is batshit crazy now.

Really turned it around. They were a mediocre team coming into the tournament. Matter of fact in the last week some people were even questioning if they were a tournament team. Great job by Calipari because he turned a bubble team into a final four team.

And he turned the preseason #1 into an 8-seed.

True. He's winning when it matters though. Is crazy that they were an 8 seed though, because they probably have 7 to 8 NBA players on the team.

He has them peeking at the right time.

Sometimes when you are playing that many freshmen, it takes a better part of a year before they stat jelling.

Kentucky and their five freshmen starters are the first squad to reach the Final Four with a group of youngsters like that since the Fab Five for Michigan back in 1992. Three of those freshmen starters come from the state of Texas.

Wonder how many one and done Calipari will have out of this group. I suppose it's a good problem to have (that much talent).

Agree with dabomb, they were terribly inconsistent all year despite all the young talent or maybe because of it, and seem to have put all of the pieces together.

Remember that Kentucky fan that got the 2014 National Champions tattoo BEFORE the tournament? Yeah he knew something. Maybe

I doubt seriously that Calipari did one thing differently. they just decided to start playing. most of what they do is one-on-one, and they are too talented to lose much if they give maximum effort.
