Harbaugh is the most brilliant hire that Patterson could make but he is showing up nowhere except in McPhaul's earlier comments. I tend to agree with this. I think he's my No. 1 choice. Beyond what he brings to the field, I also like him as a person (or what he appears to be).

Two days ago, McPhaul indicated that he was setting up for an interview but gave no date. There has been no further update. The Bellmont rooted sites are saying Saban is dead. If that is true and Patterson has a clue, he is meeting with Harbaugh and finding a way to nail him down to certify himself as a genius AD.

I agree as well. Despite his limited college football experience he brings assets (coaching pedigree, very successful NFL career, young, star-power, etc.) few can match.

Harbaugh was mentioned by another site last night. I don't want to break any rules about stealing posts from insiders of other sites but it was pretty close to what McPaul said.

Harbaugh was mentioned by another site last night. I don't want to break any rules about stealing posts from insiders of other sites but it was pretty close to what McPaul said.

It is interesting that McPhaul has ignored this thread and has said nothing more about a Harbaugh interview.

funny after McPaul came out with his list. i posted that none of the names on that list would be coach and that it was all a smokescreen to take the media buzz off john harbaugh our top choice. a week or so later john harbaugh shows up on mcpaul's list

Sure, but it sounded like an interview was imminent and a simple clarification of nothing new would be easy... Unless its radio silence because an announcement is close. Wishful thinking.
