joe bergeron gone

From what I am hearing there could be more removals coming.  Bergeron is a surprise only because 3 days ago Charlie Strong said Bergeron would be "back in the mix"  at running back.

Sounds like Strong sent the "pee in the cup" lady to the locker room and there were some really bad urinalysis results.

I care nothing about football issues with this team. he needs to get rid of all the thugs and malcontents and play the season with good character kids who want to follow rules and play for Texas.
Brother, I don't agree with you often but you are exactly right. There's more to life than football. These players are in very a privileged situation (NFL or not) and seem to take it all for granted.

did not realize my views were that controversial, but glad to have you on board once.

I agree 100%

We might have lost our chance for Malik Jefferson after this. Evidently he knows Joe and is upset he got cut.

They're both from Mesquite, so they're going to know each other. Don't read too far into Twitter.

Jefferson will be in Austin tomorrow and have every opportunity to ask Coach Strong about Bergeron's dismissal. If he hears something he doesn't like and drops UT, then he's not the kind of player that Strong wants.

This is the very type thing that will win over Malik. Malik is the type of recruit you have to win the parents over.

Neither the players nor the recruits should be in charge, and it definitely appears that Coach Strong is "THE BOSS".  They know by now what Coach Strong expects, and it is a breath of fresh air to see that he is consistent and follows through.  The sun is shining and Coach has things under control.
