ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Texas Men's Golf program earned the top ranking in the latest edition of the Golfstat Head-to-Head Standings released today. UT was followed by No. 2 Oregon while Stanford, Auburn and Washington rounded out the top five programs, respectively. UT rolled to its second-consecutive victory Tuesday afternoon with a 16-stroke win at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational. Last week, the Longhorns won the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate by a 20-stroke margin. The back-to-back wins are the first for Texas since accomplishing the same feat in 2006. The Golfstat Head-to-Head Standings use a rating system based on a mathematical formula that uses records versus Top 25 teams, difficulty of schedule and division comparative wins.

The Longhorns return to action on Oct. 23 at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Orlando, Fla.

No but heard last week that Tiger Woods was actually playing ok golf and had a shot at winning a tournament. Do not think he did though.

Tiger's last tournament he finished -7 and was tied for 30th. He had an up and down week, starting Thursday over par but coming back with 3 consecutive 68's..His putter seemed to let him down and he missed a lot of short puts.

Plus he had a spectator throw a banana at him, which got the obviously drunk, probably an Aggie, arrested for attempted assault.
