Correct, it has gotten so hostile on OB and Ketch appears to just want subscribers (his right and what a smart man would do)...but I am burned out.
Am glad I saw the post over there last month...I can actually relax when I post here and not get slammed for MY opinion.

I've been a member of OB since 2001 and have gone from posting multiple times each day to basically just lurking. Part of it is because I've grown up and gotten married and had a daughter, but another part is I don't feel like arguing with people who chastise me just due to my opinion. It's just not worth it anymore. I probably won't unsubscribe because I enjoy the content and the OT posts, but it's becoming almost too big for Ketch to control and it's consistently running away a lot of the top posters.

Plus Ketch and company seem to want to apply their political leanings to what is acceptable and what is not. OB member since 2007

This is pretty much my experience also although I didn't post all that regularly at OB.

What is the OT policy here?

Truly, I don't think there is anything a single moderator or person can do to make a board enjoyable.

My observation is the overall posters on the board make or break it.

I started getting very unhappy at OB because every time I would post an opinion, 6 or 7 idiots would shit all over it. I think several people could make that claim.

The problem at 247 is they seem to post only stuff you could read in the newspapers. Very generic.
