I don't like the "says he can hire" part. I can say I can bring Kate Upton as my date to a wedding, doesn't mean it's going to happen. I would think the way this coaching search carousel has went that any hypotheticals a coach says he can do should be taken with a grain of salt.

I'm not really impressed by Strong.

I don't like the Offensive numbers they've put up the last two years with Bridgewater at QB, with such a top QB they should have been able to move the ball a lot more than that against the level of competition they've faced.

Also I don't think he's that great a recruiter, so that's an issue I have with the current SEC / A&M Landscape that the new coach is inheriting.

I don't think he's terrible, but I definitely think it's bleh - and I'd much rather go with a Malzahn and take a chance on him because of this Offensive X's and O's accumen that he brings / or the risky hire of Gruden that would be a giant splash and get us a ton of positive momentum that I don't think a Strong hire would do.

All that being said - whom are the staff members he thinks he could bring? Yes that could be an uptick for him, but all I've seen is rumors of a great staff, I haven't seen any big names.

I don't like strong because he hasn't been elite at anything. His defenses have been solid but not great. His teams have done well but lost to ucf in a bad conference. He's just too defensive minded and isn't even elite at that
