If you had the Texans #1 pick, what would you do with it?

I would trade down, there are a lot of QB's to pick from if they want to draft a qb, I really like Aaron Murray

Matt Cassel opted out of his contract
He has prior relationship with Romeo Crennel (new DC)

Possible target for Texans at QB

It is starting to look like this^ may be what happens.

If so, then he could act as bridge for younger QB in a later round.

Clearing the way to draft Clowney #1.

Easy to say the Texans should "trade down".

When was the last time the #1 Pick was traded away? Most teams don't want to give fair market value for the pick AND most don't want to pay the exorbitant salary.

If the Texans can get the Browns first two picks, #4 and #26, I say go for it. Otherwise, stay put and take Clowney.

If JFF drops to the Cowboys at #16 you can almost count on Jerrah taking him.

*smh*

It's a nightmare scenario. Either he sucks and it will suck. Or, he plays well and it will still suck.

However, it looks like there are several teams that will or might draft a QB in front of Dallas.

Houston

Jacksonville

Cleveland

Oakland

Tampa

Minnesota

3 QBs for those 6 teams who draft before you. So, you should be safe.

I find it hilarious how quickly opinions keep changing towards who they are gonna draft. Now the "experts" are saying it is clearly Bortles. Tomorrow it will be Clowney. In a month it will swing back to JFF or maybe Bridgewater. And who the hell knows what they will actually do?

Apparently they are also kicking Michael Vick's tires as a FA QB.

I think he can still play, same idea as Cassell.

But none of us really have any idea what O'Brien's thinking is. He has said very little. Plus, we dont have much of a track record or pattern of behavior or system to look at.

Cassel is off the table

At Louisville Pro Day, Bridgewater's weight is back down to 208.

At the combine, he had it up to 214, and was projected at a 220-225 NFL playing weight.

His agent has been repeating the story about some oral surgery Bridgewater had, which caused his jaw to be wired shut. Which caused his weight loss.

But this latest number seems like a setback.

Also, looks like there are 5 head coaches to see the Bridgewater workout in person

Chip Kelly

Dennis Allen

Bill O'Brien

Gus Bradley

Mike Zimmer

LOL - if they are concerned about Bridgewaters weight, imagine how they feel about Manziels.

Another way to look at it is your guess as to whom could be your All Pro player for the future? I think Clowney would be a lock. I don't think ANY of the QB's are - it's a weak QB draft this year.

For other All Pro possibilities and just for fun, I think both Matthews and Evans will make all pro as well. It will take Matthews a few years, but Evans is almost as much a force as Clowney, IMO. (The ags on here will like this. :) )

My opinion on these workouts is that they are a joke. Any QB should be able to go out there and look good in shorts and a T-shirt and sling it around. I could go through these workouts and complete more than 50% of my passes 40 yards and shorter. Which brings me to my next question, why aren't the drills and some tests done in pads. 40 times should be in pads as should agility drills and QB drills.

.... I could go through these workouts and complete more than 50% of my passes 40 yards and shorter. ....

Reality? ......

LOL, I am actually fat, but could legitimately complete most of these passes without a pass rush with ease. Call me Jared Lorenzen!
