Ok, after reading other comments it's obvious I missed all the brouhaha . I posted very early in the thread and didn't come back to it so I have no idea what it turned into later.

So Budreau, I'm as in the dark as you are here. :)

IMO, that's probably the most interesting thing about the whole issue, especially after saying you don't care what anyone thinks. Well, if that's true, why should anyone care what you think? Well, I'm going to defy your comment and say I care what you think. I've found your posts and comments to be fairly different and always interesting. I'd hate to see you go. I would hope that you would re-read my last post and put the post that I started this thread with in the context of that last post.  It is too bad that none of us can re-visit the deleted thread.  I would stand by anything that I said in that thread whether anybody agrees with it or not.  I may be wrong, but I have been told that my comments were not the reason that that thread was deleted.  If anybody has followed my posts, they would understand that I am the last person who would personally attack anyone.  However, I do reserve the right to question anything that anyone says in any post on any thread about any subject.  Some things may be uncomfortable, but I am sorry, I have no intention of staying away from them because they are so. You are correct in that anyone here has the right to voice their opinion, but nobody should get a free ride from having what they say analyzed and responded to.  With regards to the post that started this thread that you just quoted, I would hope that you would understand the emotion of the moment regarding the previous thread that was deleted.  I have no problem with lsampson personally.  My response in the thread was with regards to my frustration with the other thread being deleted.  I would venture to guess that lsampson and I will eventually be just fine.

Yes. I think so.  I think everybody should just chill.  People that disagreed with me in the deleted thread and I both said that we were amazed that we could discuss such a potentially contentious subject with some semblance of grace.  At that point there was no animosity.  Whether it was real or perceived, that came later.  To address another of you points a couple of posts ago, (please engage humour gauge!), no, I am not leaving Hornsports!  You should only be so lucky! ;)

OKAY!  I'll start that tomorrow on Far West.  I forgot, I am a damn good cook.  Problem is I do not follow recipes very well.  I need at least four or five to work with and then I just throw them all away and wing it.  I can teach you to wing it, too!  Hey, Baby!  Want some cake?  Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge!  <_<

bud, glad you aren't leaving. I like your open, honest take on issues. Glad you will be around to keep giving us your insight. There are some issues that I, too, get more than a little touchy about. They are: racism, sexism, and prejudice. On a completely different level, personal attacks on our players really annoy me, and I've been known to fire off a quick response, or two.

Java, your thoughts are kind, and they are appreciated.  I am gonna do my best to give something back to the Hornsports community.  I am thinking a guy cooking series. I just have to work out the details.   I can pretty much guarantee that it will be disgusting ... but delicious.  I must admit though that I am not very good at cake, no matter how timely cake might be.  :rolleyes:
