Hoza Scott doesn't make the grades

After turning down UT for A&M, Scott didnt keep up his grades and has enrolled at Kilgore Junior College. Would be on track to graduate in December 2015.

I dont think it was just grades he had a problem with. If I recall correctly, there were some issues off the field and out of the classroom.

That being said, I read on ToS, he got his GED and is showing a commitment to the classroom.

Sources in LP told me that the Supt. of schools directed those below him to see to it that HS got the credits he needed to finish School at LP. That he could not qualify at eATMe is of surprise to no one. I hope the best for the kid ... He has had to live life behind the eight ball.

I asked about this ... the shorter road was to go GED than to make up all the time missed ... disenroll from HS take the GED enroll in JUCO..

All of this said, the kid must still prioritize his lifestyle to one of class and football first or he will find himself back on the mean streets of Houston in a hurry!

There will be a ridiculous amount of talent coming out of the Texas JUCOs in the next couple of years if these guys get their minds right. Hoza, Derek David, and Darrion Johnson are all at Kilgore, all 3 were considered state top 5 players at one point.

I hate to read that he has left. I hope that he gets things going in the right direction before it's too late. I'm not even thinking about him playing football right now. I just hope that he figures out that you don't get things handed to you in life.
