Hopefully better things are in store for him in the future outside of football. I still think he made a monumental mistake by not going to the CFL to prove himself. He would have had a lot better chance of landing a long term contract if he had. I do hope that UT can find him a position somewhere on staff, I know he really needs a job right now.

Was his game conducive to the NFL at the time? I don't think so. But I don't think that it was bad luck that sent his career in a downward spiral. He had some issues with Fisher, but it was up to him get those issues ironed out, in my opinion. It wasn't just the poor relationship with Fisher either. I think you can also point to some immaturity issues where he seemed to pout on the sidelines when things didn't go his way early in his career and I think that's just an example of the fact that I just don't think he was ready for the pros. I love Vince and think he is a true ambassador for Texas, but I just don't think he ever could get his mind ready for all of the load that an NFL QB has to carry.

There are more QB's that are of VY's style in today's NFL but it was Manning & Wilson in the Super Bowl. Until Kaep or someone breaks through on a consistent basis, it's still a CFB trend, IMO.
