And so it happens again. As we knew it would and as did most ags.

College baseball isn't college football, but it's something. And the two biggest crowds in RICE history watched ut/a&m this weekend. I' d guess if they had moved the game to minute maid it might have beaten a typical astro crowd.

Two observations from this chair. 1) when it matters most Texas will likely beat agricultural and mechanical 2) college needs rivalries. Time to renew hostilities on all fronts with the farmers.

Flame away.

No.

You don't drop the mike if you're not finished with the set list. We're finished. We dropped the Mike. In a 4-6 years, we'll pick it up, deliver a stunning performance and drop the mike again.

We dropped it. Our 6-5 2011 team bet them in the game the aggs wanted more than any.

I've gone 180 on this. The passion of a baseball regional is a fraction of football. But there was passion.

The passion at DKR the last two thanksgivings was zero. Or whatever is less than zero. (Cue...we need to schedule Norte dame guy. Ain't happening)

Time to move on

Disagree with you here street. We are moving on. We don't need them to do so.

If my ex talked a bunch of shit about me, took my cash money and went to someone else, I'll be damned if she's coming back over for a roll in the hay just because she's horny. Eff that noise!!

aggy can suffer in the shitty bed that THEY made for themselves for eternity.

They lied and they backstabbed us.  They cannot be trusted.

We didn't kick them out, we just discovered they were having a clandestine affair with Slive - unbeknownst to us.  So, since it has now been proven they are really a whore, why should we ever entertain the idea of taking them back?

To hell with the aggies. They left by their own choice. They divorced us. A tough marriage, but we were willing to continue. They were not, the hell with welcoming them back. Hit the road and eat shit!

I understand where Street's coming from........and for a brief moment started to agree with him........but on 2nd thought....got to go with the logic coming from my friend joeywa.

The ags want to believe LSU is their new rival, but they haven't beaten LSU in 20 years. When not a single player on their team can remember a time they lost to another team, that other team is not a rival. The ags also claim Bama is a rival. They have played Bama a whopping six times in program history.

The ags have no rivals. It will take a few years for it to sink into their simple little minds, but they will realize it soon.

I don't care if we every play them again in football, however I think it's going to happen. Coach Strong wants to play them, Patterson was quoted as he loves to play the aggies not I love to beat the aggies.  Money wise it makes sense and Patterson has shown a strong desire to bring in as money as possible.

Bring back the whole thing

Way more fun

I'll say it again.  We didn't kick them out.  They left on their own accord to move in with the trailer trash they were sleeping with.  Water simply found its own level.

They were right about one thing - we will exhibit class by sipping our fine tea and drinking our expensive wine in the finest restaurants.   They, on the other hand, will swill beer in their undershirts in their filthy double wide.

What actually happened with their leaving the Big 12 is the universe finally righted itself.

When you win 3 of every 4 games played, it's not much of a rivalry. . . . .

ZERO interest in playing the ags .. . . .

But I think everyone is entitled to their opinion. . .no matter how goofy. . .

;)

LOL

Was going to ask who the donkey was in the back but it's SMU

Arkie had already left before UH was added so you need to pick one or the other. . .

But adding TCU again was stupid when we could have added Louisville. . . .

If we're adding in state, UTSA out draws UH already. . . . .

Not to sound arrogant, but beating A&M had become old hat.

Last night was fun, b/c we hadn't played those clowns in the Big 3 Sports; FB, MBB, BSB, in over two years.  That's what made the win more meaningful.  Having said that, I'd be open to playing them again but understand why UT's administration chooses not to.

Why doesn't A&M schedule Tech or Baylor?  They're "too good" for them and aggie feels like they have nothing to gain from it.

Piggy and Cougar played plenty of good games

Especially in BBall (Sutton v. Lewis)

UH joined in 1976

Hog left ~1991

The SWC basketball tourney was a blast -- although the lack of a shot clock in the early years sort of drove everyone insane at times
