Can't your sources confirm whether Riley is indeed the home run hire? They appear to have gone into hiding following the Strong hire. Has Strong done that good of a job of keeping this selection process tight-lipped?

he has already graduated and can transfer in as a graduate student

IMO, no. You don't make a hire for that reason and to me anyone associating it as a "home run" for that reason doesn't understand the long term requirements.

With Riley as Strong's OC, the comparisons with Stoops/Leach from commentators would never cease. It would be the new "hey did you know that Colt and Shipley's Dads were....."

I think it's pretty obvious that Strong has a lid on things. Nobody reported the DB, RB, and DL hires until they were made. All info came from the schools that those coaches came from. Sources in Texas aren't talking...that goes for every board out there.

I can't speak to the QB, but their offense has been very prolific all four years Riley has been the OC

Which translates to 1 more year of NCAA eligibility. But that's it. Unless he enrolls in graduate school. But this QB is going pro.

I think Riley would be a huge home run. With Wickline on board it would be a lethal combination IMO. He's the one I want.

Imagine Leach's passing game combined with Oklahoma State's running game.

It would be an offense that would make everyone happy.

We already have a co-OC. We just need the other half. If I had my druthers, I'd pick Riley.

Projecting even further, we should have a D like we haven't seen here in decades.

I am gruntled about next season.
