Anyone else interested in going to this playoff game? Jermaine Bishop, future Longhorn, a magician in cleats, will be playing for Willis.

Forney (10-2) vs Willis (10-2), 7 p.m. Saturday at Frisco’s Ford Center
And this one:
Texarkana Pleasant Grove (11-1) vs Carthage (12-0), 2:30 p.m. Friday at McKinney’s McKinney ISD Stadium

Those are good games. Would love to see Allen v Permian, Porsper v South Lake, Katy v Summer Creek

Watching the Highland Park Vs Lone Star game last night, the Scott's offense were all wearing smart watches and looking at them as the plays were getting sent in. Assuming its legal since refs let HP use them, must have had their assignments for the given signals coming from the refs? Anyone seen these used before?

Interesting.

I wonder how that is interpreted in college and pro ball since only one person is designated to hear signals. Then again, that is not an audio signal. Interesting concept by Highland Park.

It is prevalent these days. I saw a kid lost his watch during a game and the defender picked it up and gave it to the DC. The school didn’t score the rest of the game. Was a big deal in the golden triangle a few weeks back.

The very first football game played at El Paso high school in El Paso, Texas. This was taken on Sept. 30, 1916. One would think it would be El Paso high school vs. somebody but at that time UTEP's nascent football team was also using the field and, in fact, a month later, El Paso high played UTEP on this field and El Paso high won 14-3. By the way, the stadium and field are still in use. Think how many people have watched football games there over the years! It's been voted as one of the 10 most beautiful high school stadiums in America.

Sarod Baker is the real deal. I hope we have him on speed dial.

Probably should be. But it's mostly 6A and 5A teams.
Pound for pound Carthage is there with no doubts. But unfortunately these 6A teams and national private schools all have a lot more pounds with them.

Does make for an interesting question. If Carthage had to play in a 6A district, How would they fare?
